Procedure : Incisional double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction and epicanthoplasty, Revisional Rhinoplasty: Contracted nose correction surgery (donated dermis on the nose bridge and autologous rib cartilage on the nose tip )
Hi, my name is Nicole and I am from Malaysia. Today I’d like to share my journey of undergoing plastic surgery at BARUN clinic, which is located near Exit 2 of Sinnonhyeon Station in Seoul. I am writing this to share how BARUN successfully fixed my nose and made me feel way more confident, and I hope it is informative to those who are struggling with having plastic surgery in Korea.
First of all, I would like to introduce my background. I had my very first rhinoplasty surgery in Thailand. Because of a silicone implant that got infected, there was a hole in the tip of my nose. My nose also became shorter because of the contracture.
After that, I was desperately looking for someone who was experienced in fixing my nose and eventually I looked up some of the YouTube videos of BARUN Plastic Surgery. I searched online and there are also recommendations of BRAUN for people who are looking for nose revision rhinoplasty. Besides, my eyes often look tired even though I got a double eyelid surgery (non-incision method) a few years ago, and I would like to take this opportunity to make my eyes look brighter too. Therefore, I made an appointment for consultation in BRAUN and here I came!
Honestly, when I arrived at BRAUN, I was completely shocked because they got a whole building for surgery! The atmosphere inside was also very neat and tidy. The staff were so nice and helpful. Oh, BRAUN also provided me a translator during consultation, so that I can tell the doctor about my nose and what kind of changes I want for my nose and my eyes.
After the 3D CT scan, I had a consultation with the doctors in BRAUN. They told me details about the surgery process: for my eyes, they used a ruler to measure the length of my eyelid and design how they are not looking that sunken. They are also going to do ptosis correction which pulls up the muscle from inside my lids so that my eyes don’t look droopy anymore. For my nose, they are going to use my rib cartilage on my nose tip and also donated dermis to build up the bridge area. The doctors in BRAUN were so professional that I feel confident even though revision rhinoplasty is a hard surgery.
When I woke, I felt super dizzy and the nurse had to hold my hands and bring me to the recovery room. They got me ice packs for the swelling parts but I couldn’t even remember clearly about those moments as the anesthesia was still not yet gone down.
